Holiday Common to Humankind

Greeting the dawn of the auspicious February in which the great sun of Songun rose up the patriotic people in south Korea and the world progressive mankind are eulogizing the hymn for the great man and the paean of the sun reflecting their fervent wish.

That great leader Kim Jong Il was born in Mt. Baekdu, the sacred mountain of the revolution, as the son of the partisans was a good fortune of the Korean nation and a historical event of the world which opened up the bright future for the human cause of independence.

Leader Kim Jong Il is the peerless great man and master of world politics who leads the country and the nation and the global cause of independence to victory with the extraordinary ideological and theoretical wisdom, ever-victorious political ability, the illustrious Songun politics, seasoned and experienced leadership art and the sublime virtue.

Therefore, the south Korean people are significantly celebrating the February holiday, reverentially extending thanks to leader Kim Jong Il who firmly safeguards the dignity and sovereignty of the nation and protects the destiny of all the compatriots by dint of the invincible Songun politics.

Amidst the boundless admiration for the peerless great man overflowing in every corner of south Korea different circles including the Songun politics study organizations formed preparatory committees for celebrating the February 16 and associations for greeting the February spring, and briskly conduct multifarious celebration activities to praise the greatness and undying leadership exploits of the respected leader.

They include seminars on the Songun politics, photo exhibitions, raising the immortal flower Kimjongilia, publishing commemorative books, imitative march to the Jongil Peak and gatherings of poem and song.

Different publications including newspapers, radios and magazines, and internet homepages in south Korea carry the august pictures of the respected leader who honorably defends the sovereignty and dignity of the nation and leads to shining victory the building of a thriving nation and the reunification movement, and intensively introduce his greatness.

Songun politics study organizations formed in the UK and the US, the Korean Friendship Association, Swiss Korea Committee and other various political parties and organizations over the world courteously carry on their homepages the respected leader’s pictures and articles introducing his greatness and his undying exploits of Songun leadership, thus further stirring up the praise and respect of all the people for him.

Indeed, February 16, the birthday of Kim Jong Il, is an international holiday common to humankind, which the whole world celebrates most significantly.
