Love and Sincerity That Make Flowers on Stones
- Story on a resuscitation of a worker who suffered a 3 degree-burn on 67% of his body -
In the DPRK, a socialist country of Juche, the requirements of the Juche idea that puts up man as the most precious and powerful being in the world and subordinates everything to him, are fully applied in actual life.
And the whole country forms a large harmonious family and the sublime moral traits of collectivism with the idea of “One for all and all for one!” overflow there.
Last October, Kim Song-gwang, a worker of the Bujongang Power Station, who sustained a 3 degree-burn on 67% of his body during a maintenance work on the power generator appliances was ambulanced to the people's hospital of South Hamgyong Province.
Unconsciousness, nearly zero blood-pressure, hardly detectable pulse even on the femoral artery, intermittent breaths, ever-increasing pyrexia; the indices of the patient show that he is as good as dead.
However, the collective of the hospital did not disappoint but they all rose up with the conviction and will that they could revive anybody however his condition is if they have boundless love and sincerity.
The medical collective, reaffirming the truthfulness and validity of leader Kim Jong Il’s instruction that as a human being can not exist without love, the health care can not exist without sincerity, and the sincerity is the kernel and life of the socialist medical care system, conducted a high-pitched resuscitation campaign day and night and could revive the consciousness of the patient at last.
It was when an operation was performed to transplant thousands square centimeters of skin on the patient.
All the employees of the patient’s enterprise including the manager of the power station rushed into the hospital to donate their flesh, blood and even their bone, and officials of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the Ministry of Electricity Industry and many other personnel on official trip and the citizens of the province ran to the hospital for the patient.
The medical workers of the hospital vied with each other to donate their skin, and the doctors and nurses in direct charge of the treatment of the patient locked the door of the operation room, transplanting their skin first to the patient.
Though they are neither kinsmen nor relatives of the patient, and don’t know who the patient is, they competitively took part in skin transplantation with pleasure.
They are really the patient’s parents and brothers.
The ardent devotion and sincerity of over 600 people for an ordinary worker cannot be simply compared with the area size of the skin transplanted to the patient.
Every patch of the skin that covered the patient’s body is the warm care of the Workers’ Party of Korea which embraces and revives all lives on this land, and the fervent love and care of the motherland and the people.
This is the true looks of Songun Korea which is harmonious and united, holding leader Kim Jong Il, the supreme incarnation of human love, in high esteem as the father.
How happy is such a society, people and country full of human-valuing, human love and devotion, and how bright will be its future.
It is a diametrical contrast to the cold-blooded capitalist society where the people who have no money cannot receive even compassion, to say nothing of treatment, and they do not hesitate even to kill their parents and brothers for the sake of wealth.
People-centered socialist Korea where all people single-heartedly united will further shine as an ideal society of humankind
