Songun Politics, Banner of National Reunification

The Songun politics is a great banner which propels the advance of the June 15 era of reunification and a treasured sword for national  Reunification.

The historic north-south summit meetings and the adoption of the inter-Korean joint declarations, and the consequent landmark successes of the June 15 reunification era are all the precious fruition made by the Songun politics.

The reality in which the spirit of the Korean nation for independent reunification mounts higher and the reunification movement develops as a nation-wide movement day after day under the banner of “By Our Nation Itself” is an obvious demonstration of the justness and vitality of the great Songun politics.

It is a patriotic politics which safeguards peace and security of the Korean Peninsula and propels all the compatriots to carry out the cause of national reunification.

The Songun politics puts up the dignity and sovereignty of the country and nation as the lifeline, and regards it as its main mission to thoroughly defend and realize them

The reunification cause of the Korean nation accompanies the power-to-power showdown with the separatist forces at home and abroad.

In this showdown the Songun politics displays its invincible might.

Today when the provocative moves of the US and the south Korean warmongers to hamstring Korea’s reunification and invade the north get ever more vicious as the days go by, it is non other than the Songun politics that metes out the crushing blow to the aggressors, safeguards peace of the Korean Peninsula and provides favorable circumstances for realizing the           Reunification cause.

The Songun politics is the banner of national unity.

It means the magnanimity that indiscriminately embraces everyone intending to contribute to the reunification, irrespective of their differing ideology, system, political view and religious belief, and the invariable trust to go on to the last with those who are once engaged in the reunification struggle.

The Songun politics, for its nature of loving the country and the nation, indefinitely stirs up the Korean nation and unties the entire nation under the banner of “By Our Nation Itself”.

Therefore, the patriotic south Korean people from all walks of life are positively supporting, defending and upholding the patriotic Songun politics, cherishing deep in their mind that the nation’s sovereignty, dignity, peace and reunification are guaranteed by positively supporting the Songun politics.

In recent years the “Reunification Vanguard” of which mission is to realize the cause of national reunification by upholding the Songun politics was formed among the south Korean movement organizations, and other groups for supporting and defending the Songun politics were formed one after another to conduct brisk activities.

All this reality is the eruption of the boundless gratefulness and thanks of the south Korean people for respected leader Kim Jong Il who defends the destiny of the nation, displays its dignity throughout the world and accelerates its reunification by dint of the invincible Songun politics.
