Daily Intensifying Moves of Grave Military Confrontation
In recent days the south Korean war hawks, in collusion with the US army, are more frantic in war drills against the DPRK. On December 1 and 2 the artillery combined corps and tank units of the south Korean puppet army deployed around the forefront including Pajou City, Cheolweon, Yeuncheon, Inje and Yanggu Counties randomly fired 200-odd shells and over 12 000 bullets of large-caliber machineguns and automatic rifles, stirring up the war atmosphere. And formations of armed helicopters, assault planes and bomber fighters ran amuck in the exercises of airborne operation, striking the targets and nearby airborne support to ground attack units. On December 8 and 9 the 7th mobile corps of south Korea and the US 2nd air brigade staged the “south Korea-US combined airborne storming drills”. Participating in the drills were 28 helicopters including the Apache helicopters and more than 900 troops of a storming battalion, the 109th and 601st airborne battalions under the 7th corps and the US 2nd air brigade. These exercises staged as a part of applying the aggressive “Operation Plan 5029” were thoroughgoing attack drills where the combatants of the storming units occupied the initial marshaling and loading areas, swiftly moved to airborne storming operation to secure the marshaling areas of the “enemy”. Since the kernel of the “Operation Plan 5029” is to commit the preemptive strike on north Korea under the supposition of nonsensical “contingency of north Korea”, it is an extremely provocative and dangerous war scenario to malignantly slander the dignified system of north Korea and destroy it by military means. Meanwhile, the south Korean puppets, together with a US naval air weaponry institute, are jointly developing the guided missile for helicopters to strike naval targets of someone and scheming to deploy the long-range antisubmarine missiles on destroyers. The arms buildup augmenting nowadays in south Korea stage by stage is a vicious challenge to the peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula and the aspiration of the national reconciliation and reunification which can never be tolerated. All the facts plainly show to what rash point the moves of the south Korean war hawks to dampen the atmosphere for improving the inter-Korean relations and drive the situation of the Korean Peninsula to a catastrophe reached. The reality clearly indicates that the chieftains who aggravate the tension of the Korean Peninsula are none other than the US and its followers, the south Korean war maniacs.
The moves of the south Korean war maniacs who bring about the nuclear war disaster to the Korean Peninsula in collusion with the outside forces, regardless of national reunification, can never be pardoned. Now the different circles and pro-reunification movement organizations in south Korea including the South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country’s Reunification, the Solidarity for Realizing the South-North Joint Declaration and the Solidarity Council of Pyongtaek Democratic Organizations are intensifying the anti-war peace struggle, bitterly denouncing the war drills and arms buildup moves of the puppet warmongers in conspiracy with the outside forces as anti-nation acts which deliberately exacerbate the inter-Korean relations and inflict a nuclear disaster upon the nation. |
If the reckless war moves of the US and the south Korean war hawks are overlooked the Korean nation cannot avoid the disastrous war calamity and peace and security in Asia and the world cannot be secured.
